Rings And Bases

I've always used Leupold rings and bases on my rifles. They're a top quality product and won't let you down.Rembember--you get what you pay for--don't go cheap. :) Wholesale Sports carries the complete line and at reasonable prices.

I agree with 'rfo1' you can't go wrong with Leupold quality. ;)

I use them but I've also had good luck with Weaver bases & steel Burris "Z" rings. I have also used B-Square steel "Lynx" rings in place of the Burris "Z" rings with the Weaver bases.

I think it depends what you want to use the rifle for. If it's a hunting/carry rifle, then I would go with a 2 piece lightweight setup, probably weaver or leupold rifleman rings and bases. If it's a big magnum and you have a big ass scope on it, you will need to go with steel rings and bases.
For a varmint or target rig, I like big, heavy, steel, 1 piece picatinny or weaver bases and steel rings. I use a Near 25moa base and steel TPS rings(no better rings for the price) on my Winchester Stealth. Farrel also makes nice bases and TPS now has a Rem700 base as well.
I have a leupold one piece base with those turn in rings on my savage, but I'm not real crazy about it. Doesn't give me confidence that it's as solid as weaver/picatinny setups.

For the money, I prefer the Grand Slam Weaver Steel bases (2 piece) and Burris Zee rings.

TPS makes some nice HRT rings which are available in high grade aluminum or steel. TPS makes a nice one piece base in steel or aluminum in either 0 or 20moa tapers. The tactical rings are nice too,but heavier yet.

Leupold QRW - weaver base style rings are nice too.

ITs good to know the application as well.

We carry them all.

I use the following:

-Leupold Mark IV one piece base & -Badger Ordnance Med. Max-50 rings on my TW CADPAT AI-700.

-Badger Ordnance one piece 20 MOA taper base & TPS TSR Med. 30mm rings on my ARID CADPAT AI-700.

Both mount Leupold Mark IV Mil Dot scopes.

My only compliant is that the Mark IV one piece base is not to 1913 Picatinny specs. All the rest of my rifles have some sort of Picatinney spec rail, so swapping scopes around is easy.

SKBY.

I would have a look at warne Rings and bases, top of the line quality for a decent price.

I'm upgrading to warne on most my rifles.

Warne offers picatinney bases for a wide variety of actions....Sako TRG etc. Only thing I worry about is that they are powder coated...
