Ring height and make recommendations

Good afternoon all,

just purchased a bushnell ar optic 2-7 x 36mm for my savage mkii. Also purchased weaver #16 mounts. So my questions are:

1) is low ring mount enough clearance for the scope
2) what brand do you guys suggest? I am leaning towards the simple weaver grand slam rings. It is only a 22lr so the rings dont need to be too fancy right?

If this is the ar22 one you need to watch the clearance between the bottom of the scope and the rifle, the bottom of the scope isn't completely flat, there's a nub by the paralax adjustment that sticks out that can get in the way of low rings.

I"m running a set of vortex high's on mine but you could probably get away with mediums.

Get Burris Zee rings. Weaver Grand Slams are sucky.
