I'm interested to know what is the largest objective size that the arms 22 rings will allow on the arms 18 rail. This is to help me choose between the low and medium height rings.

What is the largest scope you've successfully mounted with the LOW arms rings on your arms 18 rail?

What is the largest scope you've successfully mounted with the MEDIUM arms rings on your arms 18 rail?

I'd likely be using the inserts for a 1"scope if that makes a difference.

TIA

The mediums are 1.150" (Measured from the center of the optic to the base). The lows are .925" (Measured from the center of the optic to the base).

You should be able to figure the rest out from the webpage of the scope manufacturer, and/or using calipers.

I don't have the rail yet to take any measurements from. The other piece of info I would need is the height from the point on the base that the ring is measured from to the top of the handguard.

Or of course, an "I've used a 40mm with the low rings with no problem, but couldn't fit my 44mm." ;)

I've mounted a 44mm objective, 30mm tube scope with medium rings. The objective clears the handguard by roughly 9 or 10mm and the eyepiece clears the rear sight by 1.5 to 2 mm

1" wouldn't be different from a 30mm tube for clearances if I'm not mistaken. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
