can someone tell me what rings these are? at first glance they scream CHEAP. the rings don't match up at all, maybe they're supposed to be like that? any help would be great.

Not sure what brand name they are, but if you mean they don't line up because the inside hole is not round from the bottom rings to the top rings, they shouldn't be. There should be a gap between top and bottom when a scope is mounted.

millet tactical rings that i've seen have square holes and the two halfs of the ring make a complete circle when screwed together. but they look very similar.
i don't actually have these rings on me. someone wants to swap them for a pair of rings i have. he doesn't know what they are. he said they are light so i'm guessing aluminum.

Airsoft quailty great for a 22 rifle could be for a 30mm or 1 inch tube scope. at least with millet rings the they make a complete circle

They look very much like Burris XTR rings or a real close copy of their high XTRs ! XTRs are also aluminium !

so what your saying is that they're probably cheap. and i shouldn't buy them to put on a precision rifle??
they're 30mm rings BTW

If they were screwed together and the 1" or 30mm hole in this case was machined, there would be no clamping force on the scope when you screwed the top rings on. I think what you are seeing in the picture would in fact be a round hole if there was a proper gap between the rings. They look like well made rings to me and with 12 screws clamping the scope in place there is a good chance the scope won't move in the rings under recoil.
