I realize this is a bit of a make-work project... but on the off chance someone finds this useful:
I have a PE scope for a Mosin lying around - it's not a standard diameter, too big for the 1" rings but is very loose in the 30mm - I read the diameter as 27.3 mm. I could not find one I could buy so I drafted up what I needed myself. Manufactured out of brass to fit the cheapo ncstar mount - I modeled them after the 30 mm to 1 " inserts that come with it. They turned out a little snug on the scope and hold the scope in the rings nicely.
Thoughts? Comments? Ideas? Side effects I have not considered?
