So I have a Savage 10tr sitting in an MDT HS3 Chassis, Spatha Tactical Gladius Muzzle brake, and Vortex Crossfire 4-16x50. I have shot this rifle very little since building it in February (maybe 15-25 rounds). Reason why? Well I hated the scope for it. Yes I know, not a great reason to not shoot a rifle but it just irked me to have a not so great piece of glass atop a (for me) nice rig. So I was finally able to come up with a solution to fund a new scope and "pulled the trigger" on executing that plan yesterday. I now have a Vortex GenII PST FFP 5-25x50 with an EBR-2C MRAD. It will be my first MRAD scope but after my research and self tutelage I feel like I could preform the math and adjustments easier with it.

So after getting the scope home I immediately removed the Crossfire and noticed the one screw holding the 30mm ring to the rail was loose. So I grabbed my torque wrench and set it for 30inch/lbs and went to re-tighten. It was a sign from above, the screw never tightened and broke, they are an inexpensive vortex ring (like their $25 ones) I got 7 years ago used. The good lord saved my new scope from being dropped in that in that accident waiting to happen!

So now I need new 30mm rings or mount. My budget is around 250ish plus tax. I had my eyes set on the American Defense Manufacturing Recon Scope 20moa mount with quick detach in case I ever wanted to move my scope to a different rifle and then back to this rifle or for potential travel. Sure I would have to re-zero the rifle but I feel like 10-15 rounds of ammo is less expensive then a whole other scope. THEN, I saw the new rings by Modular Driven Tech. and they do look mighty fine and I could add a new rail with 20moa to replace the Savage OEM one. Now I can't decide and thought I could get some wiser opinions here.

Help me oh mighty Precision shooters! Your my only hope!

If you don't have a 20 moa rail, I'd definitely suggest getting one so as to have the ability to push your rifle out further when the opportunity arises. The MDT rails and rings are quite nice, I have 2 pairs (as well as some Badgers and ARMS22s). Unimounts are also a nice solution when switching a scope from rifle to rifle but you can also do that with good scope rings. I'd suggest that if you choose a unimount over separate rings that you refrain from getting a qd though as you'll honestly get a better return to zero with a non-qd mount torqued to the same spec every time and honestly, I'm assuming that you don't need the added speed of removal and install of the qd rings so they just add cost and complexity. In your price range I'd suggest MDT or Badger rings or a Badger or Nightforce unimount.
