Just bought a CZ 527 varmint in .204 ruger and realized that it doesn't come with rings like the sporter model. Tried the high CZ rings on it, way too tall, and was told the medium rings were also pretty tall because of the high 90 degree bolt lift. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with this gun and what rings you used and how you liked them, or if anybody could suggest another manufacturer that would have something to fit a 5/8 (16mm) dovetail base. Thanks

The ring height necessary to clear the bolt is a problem with these guns.

I had to replace a Bushnell Legend 5-15x40 with an Elite 3200 5-15x40 because the bolt handle would not clear the ocular end of the scope with the high CZ rings.

You might try to get a gunsmith to modify the bolt handle as it seems to have an acute bend that could be lowered and smoothed.

They are great accurate rifles though. My 22 K-Hornet is one of the most accurate rifles I've ever owned. I'm so impressed that I got another in 221 Fireball.

Aftermarket rings are made by Lynx (low, med & high), Leupold (medium only), Burris (medium) & Millet (low, medium & high)
