I'm needing some advice for rings for a Sako A II 22-250.
Are the original Sako rings still available,if not what is the best option?
The receiver has tapered dovetail mounts that are knurled on top, there are no threaded holes . Thanks,Gerry

I had a Sako A II in a 308 that I used for long range. The front and back dovetails are different sizes. Why they built it that way I dont know. its stupid but.... Used a set of Millet rings which were cheeper compared to the Sako. They never needed adjusting. I can talk to my gunsmith tomorrow, he has a set of rings for this action - I'm not sure what make they are. I will confirm price, make ect. & let you know Wednesday P.M.

The best option is Sako optiloks, they are excellent but heavy. I have just changed the optiloks off my AV in an effort to mount the scope further forward to Burris signature rings. Burris makes a special base for the Sako dovetail. Millets suck.
