This may sound like a really stupid question, but are there any rings that will mount a scope on the vent-ribbed barrel of shotgun (ie are any narrow enough to mount on the vent?)? I'm toying with the idea of having scope a little further down the barrel with a long eye-relief scope (saw an add for Ruger in Outdoor Canada last year, and it peaked my interest).
Of course, I imagine there's always the possibility that the vent-rib may not be strong enough to hold the weight of a scope..
