Rio shotshells

there's a small outdoors shop in Oakville, ON that sells them ... BUT .... They are overpriced to all hell and in short supply... Good luck in the search...

I bought some of these in London ON, at CK GUNroom.

THEY ARE CRAP. CRAP. CRAP.

Half of the shells have little burrs on the brass at the bottom of the shell. The burrs rub against the inside of the chamber and SCRATCH THE CHAMBER. You get little bits of brass in your trigger mechanism. Little brass shavings everywhere.

DO NOT BUY THEM.

The last flat that I bought revealed about 20 shells with such brass deformation......I discovered one and checked/separated the remainder out of the 10 boxes.

QC issue, yes. However, I wouldn't call the brand itself crap. Performance wise RIO shells work fine so to speak.

They work mighty fine in my 16 gauge wingmaster. It sucks that some of you guys got sh*tty ones though. I've put at least 250 #4's or so through the ol' 16 and never once had a problem. I'd buy them again.
