I didn't know this gentleman, but I thought I'd post this anyway. Sounds like he was quite a soldier and faced the same battles after the war that so many like him experienced.

Holy sh!t... I think I went to school with his grandkids, and my grandfather (father's side, from Truro) was also in the Air Force during WW2 as a Spitfire tech.
