Riser for a Bushnell TRS-25

I just installed my Bushnell TRS-25 red dot on my sr-22 (first time using a red dot) and I find it awkward to get my eye in line with the red dot. I am thinking I might need a riser for it. I think all I need is a 1/2" riser. Does anyone have any recommendations on which type of riser to get? I have looked around but there seem to be reviews on all kinds of risers where some people say the riser is perfectly snug on their rails and others complain that it moves around. Since this is for a sight I would really like to get a quality riser that is snug.

Anyone have any comments about the Burris 1/2" riser?

I have the same sight. I love how small it is. (Smaller than a Vortex SPARC)

I can't mount it on my ARs for the same reason though. Be sure to let us all know how it turns out with whatever risers you try!
 
Ok after looking into it some more, I am deciding between these two. I just need to go home and see how high I think I'll need to make it. Currently leaning towards the 1/2" because I like the low profile look. Anyone have experience with a bushnell trs-25 on an sr-22? Did you use a riser?:

I don't like the look of those huge wing nuts. But I would go with the high one if you're only ordering one. 0.3 of an inch higher than optimal isn't such a bad thing. It would probably still be quite comfortable. But too low and you are going to have a kink in your neck trying to use the thing.

Maybe find something 1/2 inch thic and tape it to your upper and then tape the sight down to see if that height works for you?
 
ya im not a huge fan of the wing nuts either but apparently they work pretty well. When I get home im gunna decide how high I need it. Hard to figure out off memory lol.

Anyone ever use one of these risers? The burris one looks nicer IMO but the UTG seems to be a more commonly used and recommended one.
 
Just ordered the UTG medium profile 0.83" 3 slot riser. I will post back when it arrives. A 0.5" just didn't feel like it would make it high enough so i went with the 0.83" *Fingers crossed*
