Riton X7 Generations

Hi,


From what I read here and saw on youtube, I understood there were several versions /modifications to the X7 Conquer.

Specifically, brass internals were replaced with steel ones.

Does anyone perhaps know which year this happened in?

Visually, I noticed there are 2 types of zoom levers. I believe this is the old one -

And this is the new one -

However, I don't know if it coincides with the internals upgrade.


If anyone can share some details and shed some light, would be much obliged.

I recently picked up a new X7 that has the old zoom lever, as I suspected was NOS. Was a decent deal so I've no complaints. Brutally heavy though, 32oz. Do you know which is preferred, brass or steel internals? I can't answer any of your questions, but am interested in the answers.

I would think the steel is preferable as it would be lighter than brass/bronze internals.

From my understanding, steel internals on the moving parts are better as they won't wear out like brass will.
