what kind of rivets do you use to pin your pistol mags?


size, lenght, etc...what kind of rivet gun?


went to crappy tire and home depot and the rivets are allot larger then the ones i have seen. Where do you buy the super tiny rivets?

Canadian Tire has all that you need......
I bought this one for $8 on sale..then picked up a few rivets and the right size drill bit.

A 1/8" rivet of the appropriate length is good enough....

You can get a rivet that is 1/8 in diameter but it is available in different lengths.
Get the length that will suit the application you are using it for...

The aluminum rivets are easier to file down.....most mag's will require a little file work on the rivet so the mag goes into the magwell and ejects properly

Yeah, me too. It's not exactly a high-stress application. Plastic rivets would prolly work

all the mags i have 20-30 all have aluminum rivets.

with each mag i have to dremel away the exterior and interior to make sure the mag drops free and to make sure the rivet doesnt bind the mag spring.
