Looking to put something different in the gun safe. Have decided either Rizzini fierce 1 or Fabarm axis allsport. Just wondering if any nuts out there have seen them at there clubs and what the owners thought of them.

I've shot the Rizzini's and I really like them and although I don't personally know anyone who has had trouble with them I have heard that the support isn't great in North America if you do. I haven't seen an AllSport on the range but there's something about them that doesn't appeal to me, I can't put my finger on it but maybe it's the grain "enhanced" wood.

Fabarm is a good solid gun, iv'e had old ones, and new ones, they handle well, shoot well, but in the end i still came back to Browning. Their autoloaders are better then their O/Us by a large margin, main problem that has carried on with Fabarm over the years is the tendency for the gun to not switch to the second barrel after firing the first shot. My old Fab was fine with heavier loads, lights wouldn't change barrel, never put enough rounds through the Elos that i had to run into any issue.
The fake finish on the wood actually looks pretty decent, it's not like that beretta Xcel crap that looks like vinyl wrap, it actually looks like they airbrushed the deeper parts of the grain then oil finished the stock.
I briefly considered a Rizzini as well, then found out that the only factory authorized/warranty shop is a tactical style shop in Quebec, so that was definitely not acceptable terms to me. I've dealt with companies from Quebec on warranty issues before, and is not exactly what anybody would consider acceptable, and i speak french, they still treat you like sh!t.

Bit long winded reply, but good luck with your choice. hopefully i didn't scare you away from Fabarm, they are a great product. They just kinda got greedy these past few years and started charging more then they are worth IMO.

Thanks for both of your insite. I may keep looking . I really like the idea of adjustable high rib. I do know the next one I buy will not have ported barrels.

I would suggest that you try a high rib gun before purchasing one as they are different to shoot than a low rib gun. Personally I prefer low rib guns and I think they make switching back and forth from a target gun to a hunting gun easier.

As for barrel porting..... your making the right choice there!

I shoot xs special high rib. Love it zero complaints but for one can not adjust the rib. And I am waiting for cocking lever lifter for 5 weeks. Decided need something as a backup and have 3 boys that want to shoot as well.

FAIR would be another good one to try, however they run into the same problem as Rizzini regarding support. They are only brought in by a less then reputable dealer who routinely screws up gun orders then tries to blame you for his mistake.
But the guns themselves are very pleasant to shoot.

I second the low rib thing, high rib guns are harder to fit, slap your cheek harder, dont fit in most gun cases, more expensive, and increase difficulty going back to a hunting gun(if you hunt).

I had a Fierce 1 Trap w/adjustable poi rib etc. Beautiful gun with much nicer wood, fit and finish than a Beretta twice the price but if you need service you're screwed. They expect you to send them back to Italy on your dime.

Did you have to send it back for work? What was turn around time?
