What else can you use RL 50 in besides the 50 cal?
Seems like there is not much info on this powder for other cartridges, or is being hard to find?
You can use it on just about any case with capacities similar to or less than the 50 BMG.
I've used Hodgdon 869 in cases such as the 45-70, with magnum primers and as much powder as I could stuff under a 500 grain, jacketed bullet.
Velocities were slower than using IMR 3031, but only by 100fps out of a 24 inch bbl.
Accuracy was acceptable for the ranges I hunted with the Ruger No1 chambered for the 45-70, at the ranges I was willing to shoot.
Velocities were very consistent, which indicates a good burn/ignition.
I suspect, if the bore diameter were much smaller, on a larger case, this may not be the case.
Still, it's a very slow powder, and if you have large capacity cases, it may work very well for you.
I don't have the information any longer, as I gave it to the fellow I sold the rifle and remaing powder I had on hand.
