Rmington Sps youth

Does anybody have any info if the Remington Sps youth is a accurate and of good quality for the money.

My wife has a left handed one in 7mm-08, puts 5 shots in around an inch all day long with 140gr. Accubonds. Only downside is Remmys rust magic rock blasted finish. Keep it well oiled on the outside and it's fine.

My wife has one in 3006. Good rifle, accurate. Not all that much smaller then the normal version.

Had one in .308, worked well, good value for the $.

I just bought one left hand in 243win and it's pretty good rifle for the price, fairly accurate if the barrel is kept clean and cool, group opened up when hot and dirty.

I did notice cleaning the outside of the barrel there seemed to be brown residue (rust) coming off the painted finish. I don't know if that's normal with this finish?

The Remington SPS Youth is the same as any other M700 SPS with a shorter LOP.
"...seemed to be brown residue (rust)..." Most likely the preservative all new rifles have on 'em.
