Hi all,
I've been wondering about what you all think about the RMO-93 line of shotguns? I know that there aren't many of them in the country so I'll give my impression.
My father and I have just picked up a pair from Armrus, super people to deal with BTW, highly recommend them!!!
First impression of the gun is WOW.
Gorgeous maroon/red finish on the metal, beautifull wood with a lacquered finish, over the barrel magazine with top loading and bottom ejection.
The magazine loading area is covered and the bottom ejection port is concealed by the forearm itself.
Remarkable design that has a DOA trigger that does not need to have the pump cycled in order to fire. You can just keep pulling the trigger. Good ambi safety that can be easily manipulated with the index finger.
Take down is simple. Just pop the magazine cover open, push the forearm foreward and push the pin located behind the trigger guard, much like an SKS.
Recoil is minimal since the barrel is inline with the stock.
Incredible accuracy, can hit a 3 inch square target 7 times with slugs!!!(I have yet to get more than five in a 3 inch square)
The gun is incapable of fireing with the top cover open or with the forearm in the foreward position.
The gun will not in any way go off, even with a round in the chamber, since the pump action is only used to eject and load a round into the chamber.
Just my .02 on the gun and welcome all comments and experiences with the gun.
Cheers,

I love the feel of it too, but I have not had a chance to shoot it. Where are you shooting yours?

How is the recoil?

Well I usually shoot a La Praairie, but I was at about a 3 hour drive from Montreal on that occasion.
I much doubt that I could pull that off once more given that morning I was just a bit shacky wearing only a fall jacket.

Where is the range in La Prairie (and what is the name of the club)?

P.S. I handled the Rys U at ArmRus the last time I was there and almost bought one. It feels well balanced and it seemed pretty robust.

Question for everyone who has one of these. I have the wood stock model (RYS-U) and I find it very difficult to slide back the magazine cover release to open the mag cover. When the stock is off it moves easily so I am wondering if I have a problem with the stock to receiver fit on my gun.
