RMR Size For Shotgun

I run a Holosun 510C on both of my Tacord Typhoon's and found that it works a lot better for me than the C-More 6MOA that I had on it before. The Holosun is great for shotguns because you have the option for a 2MOA dot only for say a slug stage or a 65MOA circle for plates and clays. Or you can run both at the same time if you wish. Another nice feature is that if the battery ever craps the bed, it has a backup solar panel so you can still use it. And it uses a quick release lever on the mount so that if you have to remove it depending on what division you are shooting that day, you can do that without having to worry about dot shift.

I assume this is the one you are referring to? Link

That does look like a good option. I would have to get my TOMM from Tac Ord swapped to another model but the weird thing is they dont list the Holosun as one of the available options but they show a picture of a Versamax like mine fitted with one so I can only assume it has the same footprint as one of the other optics they do support:

Forgot to ask - how do the Tac Ord Typhoons run? I have seen a bunch of regular Typhoons in competition and with one exception they seemed prone to jamming.

I imagine that would no longer be an issue after Tac Ord had worked their magic. Are they only doing custom builds where customers supply the gun? I don't see any finished versions for sale on their site like the Versamax etc.

The one in the pic is the smaller 507C, the 510C is larger with a bigger window and attaches via a picatinney or Weaver rail, totally different units. After a proper break in, my Typhoon runs like a top with 1oz shells now. They will all need time to break in even after the work is done(something to keep in mind) , but after some hiccups and teething issues, the Typhoons run great. As for build cost, it's best to send Casey an email to discuss as there are many option to be had on building them up.

Here's my full custom Tacord Typhoon with the Holosun 510C

I have been looking at various Holosun`s and they seem to offer a good product with lots of features, the reason I was thinking RMR is that I could get one with the low picatinney mount (RM33) and it would work on both my Benelli M4 (picatinney) or Versamax (with the RM33 removed and fitted directly to the TOMM).

So is the 510C on a mount of some kind that could be removed or no? The picatinney will work on my M4 but the optic needs to attach to my Versamax via a TOMM mount so needs to be removable from the picatinney mount.

510C comes with the quick release mount attached and is meant to be used on a rail.

Wont work with the TOMM in that case, but looks like Holosun make other versions with removable mounts that will.

These seem like a bargain, the RMR I was looking at (with no built in reticle options like this does) is almost double the price!

Not really. A full mag balances it out quite well. Adding the XLR butt stock made the balance feel a pile better than before.

Even if it were I find that quickly gets forgotten about when the beeper goes off......

And you have two of these beauties? A main gun and a backup / practice gun I assume?

I run a 507c on a TOMM mount from FOC. 32 MOA circle and 2 moa dot. Works really well and you can even smash clays with it.

I would not go smaller than a 6MOA dot if you don't have a circle/dot.
