Hello,
I recently acquired a rob arm XCR .223 from another gun nutter on the EE (thanks Ben) and this is the range report. Only mods are the NEA AR stock adaptor and the Vltor buttstock (highly recommended) And the PWS brake. The optic is a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 LRMOA in an American Defense 30mm delta mount with QD levers. Ammo was Fiocchi 50gr V-max .223 rem ammunition. Shooting on top of the tonneau cover out of a F-150 with an Accushot Altas bipod. I'm super impressed with this set up, I think that after having groups like these, owning a .223 bolt gun just seems redundant. Enjoy. PS I don't want to hear any flak about the knitted pillows or any other things going on in these pictures. The target was 124 meters away

3 Shots are NOT GROUPS. Espesially with an XCR. Sorry to #####, I appreciate your post, but your only cheating yourself if you think those groups are a correct representation of the guns accuracy.

Nice shooting, good accuracy, 3 round groups show the practical consistency of the gun. I like shooting 3 round groups in my hunting rifles because 1 is all you need most times. 5 round groups seem to be the standard. But i like 10 round groups because that is what the mag holds. Can't wait to start loading for my XCR.

Stock barrel I take it? Good to see they can really shoot. Don't let guys try to discredit you for the 3 shot groups.

3 shot groups are not statistically significant in determining the realistic accuracy of a rifle. You need multiple 10 round groups to properly demonstrate this.

Those are great groups for a chrome lined barrel. Who cares if it's a 3 or 5 or 100 round group. This isn't a precision rifle and those groups are plenty tight for anything the rifle should be used for in the field.
That's a heck of a lot of scope on there though, probably makes an already heavy rifle heavier. I have the same scope on my 20" Savage 308. Are you planning to put something smaller and lighter on once you develop a load for it?

Good shooting. Those are some of the better groups I've seen from an XCR.

Nice shooting and glad you are happy with your rifle. I have an XCR and love it.

Don't mind the Debbie Downer posters. They come out right away when someone is happy.

You're not getting it. Those AREN'T GROUPS! Several TEN ROUND GROUPS are needed to accurately determine what the rifle can do. Lets not forget he's running higher end ammo as well. Which is fine, if that's what he intends to run through it at all times.

Good shooting.........3 shots are fine to get an indication of a firearms/load capabilities. You read more and more of firearm reviews using three round groups particularly when handloading for the review. Only time and usage will tell how consistant the accuracy will be. I will have to try some Fiocchi as well and see If mine will do the same.

Okay so there was a definite misinterpretation with my understanding of the critique of my "group" size. My background is precision rifle shooting and I'm a bit of a handloading addict, I have yet to retool to load for the .223 so I'm using this cheap ammo. In precision rifle shooting my understanding is that 3 shot groups were the previous standard as to see how a rifle would preform with a certain load, so that's what I did with this rifle, I will be shooting again in a few hours and I will shoot 10 round "groups" to appease the critiques. Just to clear things up this is a stock barrel and there is 2x 3 shot "groups" on the target, as to my former understanding of the definition of a "group". But these critiques are good, it will improve my knowledge and help with my ascent out of the dark category of a "newbie". I plan on keeping the optic, I like the DMR style look to the rig, it was inspired by the Larue OBR, not to be compared with the OBR but I just like the look.

Shoot how you want. They will find something to criticize anyway.
