Robert Vogel 2.98 second F.A.S.T Drill

The Vogel one isn't only insanely quick but accurate as well. Only one round not in the -0 zones. AND he's doing this with IDPA equipment that fits relatively snuggly to the body.

Bob Vogel is just insane... does things with a G34 that others can't do with Open guns.

Does the 2nd video look a bit funky to anyone else? Just going by how the smoke disperses and the speed at which the mag/brass hits the ground... I could be wrong but if you watch it closely, something seems unnatural and off about it.

My best was 4.77 last week. I have no idea how Vogel does it other than he is a talent.

FYI his average time on each of the first three strings of the IDPA Classifier (2XBody, 1xhead box) is 1.47 seconds. In short about the same time most of us take to draw our guns from concealment.

Take Care

Bob

What shocks me about Vogel's run is that his splits on the circle are fairly slow. As Musky said it's all just super smooth.

My cheating production ipsc rig runs are usually around 3.7-3.8 and to get that needs .15 splits on the circle AND a good (for me..) reload. Following the rules and shooting from concealment I aim for around 4.8 but I rarely shoot that way. His reloads and draw are just awesome to watch.
