..........It is a Robertson, just one that you do not find on their website at this time...

This is their tactical model.

I have a three questions regarding this stock (I'm liking it so far)

1)Any photo's showing the fore end and butt bottom, IE flat or round profile ?
2)If a Remington long action were mounted in this stock would it be possible to remove the bolt with the cheek piece elevated?
3)Could a versa pod spud stud be molded into the end of the fore stock, so the bottom of the fore stock remains clean?

thanks, Jesse

Send a PM to Ian Robertson, he is on this site, but the forend is flat with the edges rounded off. I would imagine that you could install the spud for the versa pod, if you want to do that option specify upon ordering to ensure that the stock gets any extra reinforcement that might be needed, if it needs any there?

As for the bolt removal, i guess it depends on how high you have the cheek piece adjusted. I had one done for a savage and i could remove the bolt with the stock on the rifle and some height on the cheekpiece.

The one stock I had here like that, the comb is sitting on magnets, it just lifts off without affecting the adjustments... and snaps right back in place...

Maybe yours is different though...

Guntech, I saw a couple of your photos for that project and the removeable comb is pretty slick! I'm going to tear down my rifle tonight so I can get it out to you tomorrow.

FE is 2.36" wide and the bottom has a radius of ~5" and the butt has a radius of about ~1" in those areas.

2)If a Remington long action were mounted in this stock would it be possible to remove the bolt with the cheek piece elevated?

No because if you can you don't have a useful place to put your face. Depending on which cp adjuster you want it will either lift off or come out by lossening one screw. Height is repeatable.

3)Could a versa pod spud stud be molded into the end of the fore stock, so the bottom of the fore stock remains clean?

Yes, send one.

Thanks Ian all my concerns have been addressed now. A company that will cater to a customers custom request, respond to questions in a timely manner, and offer a highly regarded made in Canada product. I think I'll buy a Mcmillan ;)
