Rock Chucker supreme deluxe or Hornady Classic deluxe

Here is my experience
I started with the Rock chucker kit... I had done my research and decided that this was the best way to save money and get everything I thought I would need to reload LOL - What a fool I was (

Ive since sold the Rockchucker press ( it was good but ..) and bought a Forster Coax - best decision of my life! ( did I mention its the best decision I ever made..) , sold off my RCBS powder dispenser because I purchased a $25 Lee powder dispenser that is much more accurate (and much cheaper which is really frustrating) , got a Redding powder trickler (nice heavy base), threw out the RCBS lub & pad ( too sticky) and now use imperial wax for full sizing and Imperial dry neck lube when neck sizing only. Threw out the RCBS plastic funnel and purchased Satern specific caliber aluminum funnels - no more spilled loads from that stupid wobbly RCBS funnel, - grrr - that RCBS funnel caused me more grief

I still have the RCBS tool handle for the primer pocket cleaning bits etc, but I purchased a Lyman case prep center which I love! ( makes case prep a breeze). I now screw copper or cotton bore cleaners on the RCBS tool and use it to clean out my dies.

For trimming I have a Forster hand trimmer and also use a WFT for my hunting rounds which isnt quite as precise but much faster.

I sold off my RCBS balance beam scale and went with a Gempro 250 which was great - a bit finicky at times. Then came across a great deal on an AND FX-120i scale which is amazing! Currently purchasing an Omega vibrating powder trickler. Im told that this setup could be as fast as using a RCBS Chargemaster .... although when doing a lot of reloading a Chargemaster can be a sanity saver.
The one thing I do like - is the RCBS handheld primer

So ... from my original Rock chucker kit ... I use the hand primer and the green brass case holder .... so did I save money through buying a kit NOPE

Many guys I have spoken with eventually ended up with a Dillon progressive press for high volume reloading, while keeping their single stage press. I had considered the Redding Turret press when looking at the Coax ... but have never given it another thought once I began to use my Coax press - especially since I can swap dies in and out in a second.

Maybe next year I will get a RCBS Chargemaster ... but for now Im still playing with all my Sinclair case measuring tools
