Rock Crusher?

I'm wondering about the 'Rock Crusher' and where I could get one, and the general information about it. Who makes it, RCBS or Lyman?

Could I use it to reload small pistol calibres as well as monsters like the .50 FatMac and large belted magnums?

- Dave.

RCBS makes them. I have an old model (20+yrs) and it'S still going strong..Ah if I could find the case ejectors kit mounting instructions somewhere !!

The Muncie M-22 “Rock Crusher” was the BEST tranny Chev ever put in their muscle cars.

I would give my left nut to get my Rat powered (LS5) 1970 Chevelle SS back! Too soon old; too late smart! ;)

So the Rock Chucker Supreme will handle things like the .50 Fatmac and 14.5x114mm PTRD Antitank rifle round?

- Dave.

No offense, but can't you figure this out for yourself? The RCBS website will tell you how long a cartridge the Rock Chucker Supreme will take, you look up the length of the PTRD round, and bingo.

Generally, you need a special press for the 'big' stuff (.50BMG+), but you can figure that out by browsing the RCBS, Redding, Lee and Hornady sites.

Oh yeah, and buy a gun before you buy a press ;)

I tried looking there but I couldn't find the dimensions. I tried RCBS' website and there wasn't much information there, well, information in detail that is. Sorry...

I'm working on that. I just want to make sure I have supplies to get or make ammunition once I get it, though :D.

The Rock Chucker should be able to handle any cartridge up to 50 BMG, then the Ammomaster for the 50 cal and it can be rebuilt to handle the fat mac and PTRD. An actual Rock Crusher can handle up to 20x138b and 20mm vulcan, forget who made them though.

Dave,

The Rock Chucker Supreme will handle most of the big magnums. My RCBS Ammo Master can handle .50BMG. As for the others, I don't think you have to worry about loading for them as I don't think your Mom is going to let you bring home an anti-tank rifle!:)

If/when you do pick up your first centerfire rifle/pistol, the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Master Reloading Kit is a very fine choice for a beginner as it gets you most of the critical tools needed to effectively reload ammo. I still use mine on a regular basis, even though I've got a progressive.

+2 I run a rock chucker, and two Dillon 550s. There is always room for a good single stage press, and the rock chucker fits the bill.

If you are serious about this, call the RCBS 1 800 number (800 533 5000) and ask them. They have always been very helpful when I called.
