Does anyone have any experiences with this rifle or reviews? I am getting my little brother his first rifle for Christmas and giving him a few choices in the same price range and want to know if this one is worthy as a good choice since 10/22's are not stocked in any of my LGS.

Thanks.

I know there are 10/22s at some of the site sponsors. They aren't much more than the knock offs. Then you know any accessories or upgrades will work for sure.

Thanks...price is a little higher than i thought tho. Anyone have or fired a Ruger 10/22 iTac? They are under $400

I was also looking at the Appeal as well. Cant decide if its ugly or do I like it lol. vs a 10/22 im not sure. Just looking for a "cool" plinker. The cost of 9mm and .45acp is eating up my wallet :)

I hear ya center fire can put a dent in your wallet. 22's are cheap but it don't takelong to go through a brick. Bought my Lotto ticket to day if i win 50 million. I might still have to work overtime. The guns i would buy. This sport is killing me LOL. How much is a bucket of golf balls? HA!!!! I love shooting FCK the golf game

Handled one at our local shop about a week ago. Wood stock model. Asking price was $249. They had one in stock.

Wood stock seemed like it was painted with some kind of funny stain. Very clubby like original 10/22's of yesteryear.

Noticed the mag release was old school, too. Flush to the reciever bottom. Not extended like on the current 10/22's.

For the money seemed not too bad but same dealer has the new 10/22's with synthetic stock & hi-viz fiber optic sites for $349.

The RIA didn't last long though, sold within a day.
