rock tumbler = brass tumbler???

My wife has a rock tumbler that she rarely (never) uses. Is it adaptable to cleaning cases? Does is turn fast enough?

I'm sure I would have to use the dry type, cleaning media ..... but I was just wondering if anyone else uses an actual rock tumbler to clean their brass.

A rock tumbler is perfect for use as a wet tumbler with stainless steel pins for media. Do a search for "stainless media" here and there are a bunch of threads.

Rock tumblers ARE brass tumblers. They are the same thing.

Rock tumblers are generally superior to the typical vibratory tumblers marketed to reloaders by Lyman, RCBS, and the like.

I am using my Lortone QT-12 with 50/50 corncob/walnut media.

if you use stainless steel media and some palmolive with oxi, my friend your brass will be better looking then new, first; run for 30 minutes, rinse, then run again for 2 hour's and amazing clean and super shiny brass, even inside
