I have a new lee classic turret loader and a couple things to go with it including 3 different sets of dies. However I do not have a scale yet or a trimmer, also some people say the turret press doesn't handle tall cartridges comfortably.I will be loading handgun and large rifle cartridges. Is it worth it for me to get this great deal on the rockchucker special prophet river has on or just stick with the one and buy a 5-0-5 ? I am thinking with this deal I would wind up with the press itself basically free--ish. '0)

For the price you can't go wrong. Even if you decide to use only your turret press, you can sell the Rockchucker, and have the rest of the kit really cheap. Personally, I would use the Rockchucker for loading rifle cartridges, and the turret setup for handgun ammunition.

IMHO you should try to buy quality, used, older (pre AD 2000) individual reloading components even if it will cost you some premium $. For me; Made in China RCBS "kit" ? No, thank you.

The information you give is sketchy at best. What are you calling large rifle cases???? 30-06 or 7mm Rem Mag length cases?????
If those are about as long as you're going to load, your original press will work just fine.
Hornady, makes a really nice/small compact digital scale that will take up a lot less room on your bench and it is very accurate for under $25.
When I first saw a dealer with them at a gunshow last year, discount priced at $20, I thought what the hell and bought one. It is every bit as accurate as the Dillon I paid well over a hundred dollars for.
As for the die sets you have, they will be universally threaded to match any press that has been made in the last 25 years. They won't be a loss, one way or the other.
As for the new Chinese made RCBS presses, I've tried out a couple and if nothing else, they were acceptable. Roman is correct though, if you really want another press (not a bad idea) look for and older press. It doesn't have to be an RCBS either. Hornady, Lyman, Chicago, Redding are all good presses and will readily accept your dies.
If you decide to go with the Hornady digital scale, look into a lever operated powder measure. They will cut down on reloading times by hours, especially if you shoot a lot of pistol ammo or .223.
Again, scour the gun shows in your area or just go to the banner pages above to see what they have. Our EE, is also a very good place to start.
As for a trimmer, just buy the stand with cutter/chuck, and operate it with a battery powered hand drill.
Some people may not like the new Rockchucker, but I started out two new reloaders with them this year, and both are making very good quality ammunition, with no issues at all. My Rockchucker is over 30 years old, and I will likely never purchase another, but I wouldn't be afraid to purchase a new one.
