Rockin sled and quad shots

liberal? BAN? how many kinds of stupid do you have to be to not read the whole thread?

No need for name calling I have went through the thread before replying and some one did say they should ban ATV's from crown land although they have now edited their posts so relax. I'm sure beaverfur was replying to the post that has now been edited.

there are plenty of millions of acres that are and will remain untouched by us...... plus we aren't going anywhere soon....

realy? that dosnt apear to be what new legislation is saying in bc according to the Ministry of Forests and Range ;)

Under new provisions of the Forest and Range Practices Act, people causing damage that adversely affects an ecosystem, such as driving four-wheel drive vehicles in wetlands, or riding ATVs irresponsibly in alpine terrain or range lands, will face penalties of up to $100,000. Cases prosecuted in the criminal courts carry maximum fines of $100,000, up to one year in jail, or both

race quads "which are ment for closed tracks IMO"

:agree:

now that is a cause I would be proud to support.

everyone has faults, but this is a thread about ATV's.

Seems to me you were the one that complained that snowmobiles leaked fuel & oils all over, would you like me to go back & quote you ;)
All I said was your helo probably leaks as much fluids as any newer snowmobile, & it probably does...whether it's at 100' or 10,000 still falls to the same place!

You guys are liberals I think. My feelings are attached to that tree, if we can save one blade of grass.

Ya, most likely hunters from the city should ban there guns and their quads, snow machines, make them pay taxes and go right home after work. That way they can't hurt anyone's feelings, or them selves, or a puddle on the trail.:)

The road to hunting hell is paved in tactical firearms and timed feeders. LOL

I just noticed your little note there, I am not responding to you anymore. Seeing that you are crazy........people kill people.

Arguing with tree huggers is like arguing with anti guns, so tiring. Out of touch with reality and personal agenda first.

"and before you spout off again.... like I said earlier theres a place to play were it dosnt hurt anyone else"

And now you hurt my feelings.....:D

BEFORE WHO GOES SPOUTTING OFF AGAIN???? WERE DID YOU SAY THIS IN THIS ENTIRE THREAD???

"like I said earlier theres a place to play were it dosnt hurt anyone else"

were is it? All I see is you slagging people.

It dosnt matter if its all in fun or not but the simple fact is as in any case a few bad apples ruin it for all, why do you think they make laws/rules/bans? Because some numbnuts couldnt be reponsible and or didnt care and the outcome was a forest and range act being implimented in BC against atvs and mud boggers

How would you like that first picture going through your trapline? Now put 700 quads on a quad rally through it. I think you would be a little pissed.

no offence but if your dumb enough to put your trapline running along the main powerlines and gaslines then they should get wrecked.....
you all make it sound like we just find some veggie sensitive areas and then go chew it up..... i dont know anyone that does that and i quad with a lot of people.... we ride decomissioned logging roads and trails that are cut by the club on land where we are allowed to ride..... i will however admit to riding straight through some overgrown broom plants in full bloom with their yellow flowers and they scratched my new quad up:mad:

Ya but 700 quads on a rally :)eek: never heard of one THAT big) is a one time thing in a very narrow area, probably did chew up the ground...much like the bulldozers that installed that Hydro or Gasline, did you survive that??

I take it you dont know alot about traplines now do you? seeing many have been in place long before gaslines and hydro lines were ever put in. :slap:

Then I guess you dont know much about traplines. You dont get to choose where you put it. They are already there and you buy the rights to trap that area. I do know of several trappers who have had their "areas" to trap in clear cut, many roads going through and "new" pipelines that ##### cross all over them. :owned:

Come out west. Alberta sells more ATV's than any other province or state in North America. Now, with that said there have been quad rallies in north eastern alberta with 500-700 machines in attendance. I went once and will never ever go again.

If you guys dont beleive me or know where I am talking about, attend the annual Cold Lake/ Bonnyville quad Rally in the spring (May/June) you will see.

Guys drinking booze out of jerry cans, people blowing engines in beaver runs, machines starting on fire, and idiots saying "hey man do you have a couple litres of engine oil, I just drowned my quad and had to drain the oil on the trail", crossing sensitive creeks, and of course all the beer cans scattered throughout the country.

I know it sounds surreal, but its true.

Where I live there are d*ckheads who tear up back roads and unused concession roads in the spring as soon as the snow is gone with their 4X4 trucks. For the record, I have a 4X4 as well, but have no desire to get it mired in mud up to the doors. Then these huge ruts are permanently dug in and take years to go away. I know the idiot who first ruined one old concession headline that I used to like to use in the summer during dry times. The ruts are so deep the diff drags and gets hung up now in one spot.

The same thing applied when ATVs hit the scene. And for the record I do have two ATVs that I use on the farm and around here all the time. One is a 4WD workhorse that I haul things around with and other is a nice light 2WD that is perfect for poking around with and going for a little tour to catch up on what is going on out in the bush. Gets me through tight trails without expending energy so I can then walk where otherwise I would be exhausted. I also have a sprayer for the back of this ATV and use it around the farm all the time to do spot kills with Roundup....for jeebus sake don't tell Dalton Ban It about that!!!!!!
