On a serious note, I have two Argentine 1909's, a rifle and a carbine. I forget which one now, but I have to bump the shoulder back on the fired and resized casings for one or it will not chamber, period. It took me a while to figure out what the deal was. Factory ammo would chamber fine in both. I use a .308 die set accordingly to squeeze the shoulder back a tiny bit and ...presto!

I am using lee dies for the record. The rifle chambers factory ammo, and fires it fine. This is how I acquired my brass. Trimmed lengths were all below 2.494". OAL with a bullet were all below max of 3.250"

Here's where I think I went wrong. You know how you seat the resizing die and then advance it 1/8 to 1/4 turn. I think I advanced it 1/8 of a turn when I should have gone the full 1/4.

I tried re-re-sizing a shell, and it chambered. I had to force the action closed very slightly, so I think I need to advance the die into the press just a tad more.

Long story short, I think it's the case shoulders. kjohn wins!
 
Just make sure your ram goes all the way to the top. There could be a fair amount of resistance on the last little bit. Look and make sure the shell holder is touching the bottom of the resizing die.

I would just like to add to the above post . . . make sure the shell holder is touching the bottom of the resizing die "while you are actually resizing a case." Full length sizing takes quite a bit of force, presses can give a little.
