Rookie to the WW2 rifle collection ring

Hello, to all who read this. I'm new to this forum and kinda new the the whole rifle collecting but alot of the firearms I'm interested in cant be bought at your corner store. My uncle is an avid collector of firearms, particularily Enfields. He is 20 years older than I and has his connections for all his goodies. I on the other hand now very little. Anyhow, I'm looking for a G43 german rifle (rare I know that much) or a M1 Garand ( somewhat rare). I dont know really where to start looking on this site but figured this is the best place to start. Im looking to spend $1000 to $1500 for the Garand and $2500+ for the G43 depending on matching.

For a super source on a Garand, get ahold of Billybob. You will never be disappointed with anything from that man, that's why I bought mine from him. Tell him Highrpm sent you. As for the G43, good luck !!1 I have been looking for years and the only ones I found were pieced together ( no thank you ) and way over priced for what they are. For a bigger selection you might look to the US gun auction sites and then look into importing. It's a pain in the ass , but they have a tremendous selection compared to Canada.
 
Start whispering in your uncles ear, if he's a collector and has his sources already wouldn't he help out a family member looking to start a milsurp collection? I know I would, I love helping friend and family hunt for things. I like the search a lot though, so that's part of the enjoyment of the piece once you finally find it.
