I have two gems to sell and I think they are in very nice condition but I don't know the intrinsic value of them.

The first is a 1916 pattern III ROSS rifle. World War One of course. The wood is good+, metal is good +, no rust, sights are there and good. Original brass oiler bottle. Has a very little pitting near the breech but is not extensive. Bore is excellent.

Second is a WW1 German GEW98, Spandau 1915 rifle. Has original bayonet and sheath. Stock is good to VG+, metal is good, sights okay, no rust. Bayonet is VG, bore is good.

What kind of value are these two WW1 rifles worth? Thanks.

I'm assuming they are full wood?

Ross - If in excellent shape, full wood, never sanded, with clear markings. I would wager around $1000-1200.

Gew - If all matching, right down to the screws, and the stock has never been sanded, with good condition metal as you describe, I would say around $800-$1000. The bayonet, depending on type, early war or late war, would range wildly. If its the later style butcher blade bayonet, between $100-$150. If its an early war/pre war sawback, upwards of $400.

Both are some of the more difficult to come by WWI rifles.

Pics would be needed for a proper assesment.
