Ross DA 218 from HMS Canada

My milsurp memory is like that. I can remember a rifle I have seen once for years, what is sold for & who sold it.

The wife is always perplexed that I can remember every detail about my guns and everything I saw at the last four gunshows, but can't remember to empty the dishwasher.

Century Arms got the rifles off the boat when it was sold to a south american country and sold them here.

If you are REALLY good friends with the Local Gun Shop Owner, (Jason ?) then maybe he can go back into his record book and find the buyer. Remember, the Long Gun Registry was in effect four years ago, and these had to be entered in the record book.

You could point out that it would also be to his benefit to reunite the rifle and bayonet together, as the present owner would also be grateful.

But, don't tell the Liberals, as they will point out that the LGR is useful.
.

1) It's illegal for Jason to give me someone else's firearms purchase history.
2) Technically, under federal statute, he's supposed to have stopped using ledgers to record sales and is supposed to no longer have legacy ledgers.

Sorry guys, I know Jason well, but I'm not going to ask him to break the law. Someone else can if they want to ;)

Oh, well. Just a thought.

Except that DA218 is probably not the rifle's serial number for registration purposes and a lot of Ross Rifles have been sold there over the years.
