Hi there,

I'm not sure where to put this, so I though as I'm trying to generate some discussion and find some information out, that this would be the appropriate forum. If not then I'm hoping a Moderator / Administrator will move it accordingly.

My father-in law has a Ross Enfield .303 that he hasn't shot in 30+ years and has been asked if he would consider selling it. The problem is that he / we have no idea what it's worth and I can't seem to find many for sale online so I thought I would put it up on here for thoughts and opinions. I probably won't have pictures for a month or so, but if we could get an approximate low-high range to start with that would help out.

Thanks.

First, there is no such rifle as a Ross Enfield.
If it is a Ross rifle, it could be worth $50 - $5000.
Go to www.milsurps.com. You will find photographs of various Ross rifles.

cool, sorry for the error I was just going off of what I was told it is. Thanks for the starting point though. Will post some pictures when I get a chance.

You should probably post this in the Milsurp forum.

Pics go such a long way towards answering questions like this. There are a few of us on here that are quite familiar with Rosses and the various models. I'd think most of this knowledge is to be found on Milsurp but who knows.

How long is the barrel? What is on the receiver? (1905 or 1910?)

Military full wood, factory sporter, or cut down military rifle sporterized?
