Hey guys! Since there was some interest in part one of my range report figured I'd do a part 2. Same as last time, 75 yards shooting from a rest but this time I was sitting. I shot 6 rounds today per group with a mix of 180gr imperial and federal factory ammo. The temp today was a brisk -22 but the old Ross still grouped nicely.
I couldn't post a group 1 cause it got messed up by some stray SKS rounds, but I'll mention it was not a great group, I was all over the place.
Here's group 2, got the sights all adjusted since last time so now point of aim and point of impact line up pretty good. The first and second group where shot with some old imperial I picked up at the last gun show, I'm not sure if it was me, the extremely cold bore or the ammo but she wasn't grouping well at the beginning of the day.
Here's group 3 Shot with federal. I count 7 (one I believe is another stray SKS round! Doah!!!)
Here's group 4 with a nice warm barrel.
Pretty happy with the results, I've only shot this rifle once before and I'm still figuring out the sights. I'm hoping that with a lot of practice I may be able to cut these groups down even more.
Still can't believe that a 97 year old gun can group this well!!
