I have an opportunity to buy a Ross Mark II rifle - made between 1905-1910.
It has NOT been sporterized, it still has the full length barrel and top hand guard.
The wood appears in decent shape, with a lot of markings on the right side of the buttstock. Bore is in decent shape with no obvious pitting, bolt shows no signs of rust or other damage, lands appear to be somewhat sharp. It still has the 2800 yd sight on the rear. The metal appears in decent shape, with no obvious rust or pitting. Owner says it still shoots well.
The owner is asking $1000. Is it worth that much?
Sorry I have no pics, wasn't allowed to take any.
