There weren't images when I posted. This one is nice, and yeah, the $100-$150 range is not unreasonable. It is a military sight and bridge with charger guide and they certainly do have value. I have sold several of those sights and 2 - 4 bridges. Would have to do some digging to see what they sold for but, as I recall, each sold for well North of $100.00. This set appears to be in particularly nice condition. If I am not mistaken, someone is currently on the EE looking for a bridge.
All of mine look exactly like it. Even the ones on the MilMatch rifles. I haven’t compared them all closely, but the MilMatch rifles and the early MkIIIs including the HG MkIIIs all have a smaller aperture in the scroll plate than the later scroll plates and I believe that is the only difference in the standard MkIII sights. The MilMatch sights are graduated differently for the .280 cartridge.Looked at it in good light and I don't see anything filed, although the top is missing bluing, I would guess from being handled.
Hi B noser. Beware of a guy in northern Ontario that was advertising on the EE for a sight with bridge. There is currently a WTB for one of those sights on the EE. Been there for quite some time.
Looks like the short range sighting notch on this one might have been filed down. If so, that would have a significant negative effect on value.
