Ross Mk.III - so now what?

I just received a Mk.III Ross I bought from Collector's Source - nice shape, good bore, pinned bolt - it does have Indian DP wood, which I'm willing to accept. What does bother me is that the front sight assembly is cocked a few degrees to the right. Couldn't get a decent picture of it, but it's noticeable with the rifle in hand.

I won't pretend to be an expert on these rifles, but it looks like the front sight is mounted on a collar around the barrel, so the barrel itself shouldn't be misaligned, right? Is it fixable? Its a very nice rifle otherwise, so I'd like to think its salvageable.

With the kit you can do this easily without damaging any hard (or impossible) to get parts...

BTW, I still have the kit Tiriaq lent me to pull the front sight base. If you want to borrow it from him please ask him, it's available for jobs like yours.

Nice wood on your rifle btw, much nicer than mine.

You'll also need the right size pin punch to knock the pin out and in.

Thanks alot Cantom, that's a real load off of my mind. I'll definately be getting in touch with Tiriaq about that kit.
