The ross MkI bt was for the MkI and Short MkII Rosses.
The MkII was for the MkII** and III Rosses.
The major difference is that the hole in the MkII cross guard is larger to fit the heavier barrel on the II** and III.
A MkII bt will fit a sht MkII but will be loose because of the larger hole.
