I was looking at a Ross the other day, it has full wood and is in good shape but I don't know what a good price to pay for it is. There were two guns, an M10 and an M 05 ( I think) Any info would be great
thanks

In my experience, original configuration Ross rifles sell for around $600-$1,000. Unfortunatly I can't help you in regards to the differences in price between an M-10 and an M-05, but I can't imagine either selling for a great deal more or less than the other.

This past fall, there were several Rosses sold at Gunco in Nepean. Mk. IIIs with uncut stocks, were between $200 and $650, depending on condition. The most expensive was DA marked (ex HMS Canada/Almirante Latorre) with matching numbered bayonet, about NRA Good condition. In superior condition, prices could be higher. Mk. II prices seem similar. Cut down service rifles sell for $75 up, depending on what is there. I know of particularly fine unaltered rifles selling for over $1000. Unaltered service pattern Rosses in premium condition are uncommon. You will see dozens of unaltered Lee Enfield service rifles for sale for every unaltered Ross. Most Rosses saw a lot of service, and their condition shows it. Rosses were long, Mk. IIIs in particular being rather clumsy, so many if not most were cut down once they were in civilian hands.

Ross

I got one of the M-10 MKIII Ross's from Jason at Gunco a few months ago. All original 1916, about "good" metal, V.G bore and stock with plenty gouges/dings butt retaining all markings on butt which is critical for Ross collectors. Shoots great and I think I got a steal at $375. Many thanks to old buddy Claven2.
