Not sure what the basis for it was, maybe because its under 26" and I believe it is based on a handgun action, but am not sure. If you own one then you recieved the paperwork for reclassification. This should not be allowed and I feel we should have been grandfathered for this. We are paying for their mistakes and it is typical of them

Sure, but I won't get to the range until my christmas holidays,and then I will hopefully encounter some innocent bystanders to try it as well, with slugs of course, probably be some laughter and some crying

Well finally got to give this a good go today, broke the other Reddot last time I was out, but this Tasco seem to have taken a beating and survived the day.
Shot a box of 7-1/2s out of it and 25 slugs and it was actually not bad for recoil, more than a 44 but not as much as a S&W 500. Here's a vid
