A friend has one that he inherited from his father and he lost the inner tube for the magazine.
I called Western Gun parts and they don't have and can't get Rossi parts.
I found a replacement tube at Numrich but it is for shorts, long and long rifle. it doesn't mention magnums.
does anyone know if
A. This will work or
B. Where to get one for a magnum.

My friend is pretty upset as he and his father spent every minute of hunting seasons in the woods and his father passed away a few years ago. I would love to be able to find him a replacement tube.

the only diff between a 22lr and a 22win mag is the length of the case the magnum being about twice as long, bullet and case diameter are the same

I considered that but with my luck..there would some microscopic difference in something..

post in the EE section parts and bits make sure to mention the model number i checked numrich and see some there you didn't mention the model i don't think there would be a diff between the s,l,lr and magnum

The mag bullet is a hair bigger then the long.

.224 vs .223

Case sizes are different as well and not just length.

well..some more digging around and I found the rifle apparently is a copy of the Winchester model 61. It was sold by ruko..which was actually made by ARMSCOR.
Hopefully that improved my chances.

The Rossi pump .22s are actually a copy of a Winchester Model 62. The Model 61 had an internal hammer.

I don't know if the .22 S/L/LR inner tube is the same as the .22 Magnum one, but Brownell's does sell kits to build a new tube.

tks for the correction. I was looking on Brownells and found the ones made by Wisners. Do you have a link to the kit?

Here you go:

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=25062/Product/_22_MAGAZINE_TUBE_KIT_NO__2

Kit #1 looks to be closest to the tube for my original Winchester 62A, which has a .356"-357" OD x 17-1/2" tube length. Kit #2 would give you a little more length to work with in the event that the Rossi is different.

If you e-mail Numrich at orderinfo@gunpartscorp.com, they might be able to tell you if the tube they have will work with .22WMR.

Many thanks for the links. I have horrible luck finding things on Brownells.
I e-mailed Numrich and got a canned response basically saying they don't even check e-mails anymore. LOL
I'm going to call them on Monday.

I just tried a Mag case in an LR tube and it fits fine in the tube but the cutout is to short and narrow to allow a mag case to pass so you'd have to enlarge the slot where the bullets are dropped in.

He has that. The inner tube fell out on him in the woods. A search turned up nothing.
He tried 3 other tubes but none worked, however I'm not sure what the issue was.

Cool, I have a BL22 and a Marlin 60 and 22mag round will not fit in the actual tube. They will fit in the tube that is attached to the gun with the magazine tube removed but will not fit into the magazine tube

So when you take your magazine tube out of your 22lr the 22 magnum shells will fit into the magazine tube ?

Have you contacted Rossi to get the actual part number for the item and as well to ask them this same question-will the mag tube work? FWIW mag tubes are only limited by length but if there is a feed slot for LR then a 22mag may not feed and you will have to lengthen the feed slot a bit. Other than that it should be a go.

Sorry I thought you were asking about the external tube that is on the gun not the internal one with the plunger....tried and it won't fit inside the .22lr just clears and the mags are to big at the rim.
