I have 2 Rossi 92's. The other day, I was shooting the carbine and the loading gate popped out of the side of the frame, causing the gun to jam. I had to push it back in, and it did this several times. So, I did what any normal, red-blooded geezer would do and I Googled like crazy. Found a bunch of info, but it sounded like I needed a new gate. Started looking, and all I could find was at Steve's in the US, and it would have cost me over $100 by the time it got here. Another site mentioned peening the gate, so I figgered what the heck. When I took the rifle apart, the screw holding the gate in place was loose. Of course, it was the very last screw I removed. I tightened it up, put the gun back together with the proper amount of swearing and cursing trying to get the ejector in properly. Anyhow, about 100 rounds later and it's fine. So if this happens to you, just check the loading gate screw before going ape-poop.
