Looking at Rossi's web site and see these rifles. They have a couple dif cals and take 410 shells at the same time.A neat rifle and would think about buying one if we can have them up here ?.Any thoughts ?

The stock is not part of the frame/receiver, unlike the Browning Buckmark rifle.
Range only, unfortunately. Stupid.

My understanding is because the rifle is the exact same frame as the revolver frame exept it has a rifle stock. You could just remove the rifle stock and replace it with the handgun grip so they decided to classify them all as handguns.

They showed a prototype in 28ga a 5 shot. The BTAF was all over it as a destructive device so manufacturing plans were shelved...was a showstopper with buckshot for home invasion....Harold

I was really quite surprised when I came upon the Rossi circuit judge, and saw it classified as restricted. I have been looking into revolver carbines for a while and checked with the CFO regarding their classification. Specifically the Uberti 1873 American carbine models (6-shooter, long barrel, butt stock) etc. are non-restricted. But here the receiver part accepting the stock differs from regular revolver handguns, you could not just mount a pistol grip to it.
