Funny how the previous generation of cheap singleshots, like the H&R's, Baikals, etc. never seemed to gain more than a niche/cult following, simply because people looking for CHEAP! were presented with budget bolt guns like the Savage Axis, et al. Hey look, it's the same price and I can stuff in a handful of bullets instead of just one! SOLD!!!
The only thing that kept H&R/NEF going as long as they did was the small segment of the market that liked singleshots for their own sake. You know, the folks who now jump to pay $700 or $800 for a used one...
Now, even the Axis and other "cheap" bolt guns have crept up in price, so the makers bring in the next wave of
even cheaper singles like these. Hopefully these will be successful and help introduce a bunch of new shooters to the sport...and then some of these newbies will become actual admirers of singleshots, rather than just buying them for the low price.
