Rossi r92 black and gold edition vs henry big boy steel side gate

Depends on what you are looking for. Historical accuracy? Rossi. Smoothest action? Henry. I would guess the Henry to be a bit more reliable as well. I'd also check out the new Marlins. I have a Marlin made under the Remington era that's amazing. Can only guess the Ruger made ones to be even better.
If you like gold, go for the Henry.
Edit, I just looked at the Henry .357 side gate and it looks like it's only available in black steel. I also looked at the Rossi gold and black..... reminds me of a commemorative Winchester.
If you like that look maybe consider the original Henry Big Boy Brass units without the side loading gate?
The Case Hardened models with the octagon barrels look nice in my opinion......
Henry has a good reputation for well made guns and great support if needed, Rossi has gotten better apparently but were a bit hit and miss and rough around the edges in the past and not much warranty support if needed.

Lever action : R92s are smoother, Henry Steel Side Gate are clunkier
Exterior finish: Mostly good, samples of uneven quality with either brand. The color of R92 hardwood furniture can range from brown to reddish to plum. Henry Steel Side Gate tends to have a uniform plain walnut colour.
Interior: R92 may have sharp edges in the loading port
Dimensions: R92s have a shorter LOP (12.5") , Henry's around 14"
Weight: R92s are lighter and handier
Barrel twist: Slower twist with R92s and tighter with Henrys
Subjective: R92s look better than a plain Henry Steel Side gate (the case-coloured is way nicer). I wouldn't pay full retail on either brand. Very happy with the looks and quality of my stainless 16" and 20" R92s 357 mag and the case-coloured 16" Henry 357 mag.

Henry wins on paper, life time vs one-year for Rossi. The Cdn warranty for Henry used to be Grech Outdoors with patchy feedback. Gravel Agency handles warranty for Rossi. No personal experience with the warranty process for either.

Never had a Henry but my Rossi R92 in 454 Casull has a very smooth action.

I’d stride past both those for this, you’re going up a flight of stairs in quality control to get to a Miroku Winchester from the Rossi’s and Henry’s.

I just picked up a used Miroku Winchester '92 and put the first few rounds through it and it is abundantly apparent that Ardent has the right of it. In terms of new prices, Rossi's tend to be in the 1100 to 1500 range while Henry's seem to be in the 1300 to 1600 range. The superior quality of the Miroku Winchester 1892 for that 1400 to 1600 dollar range make it the clear winner in my mind. Make it a lightly used Miroku for the same price as a new Rossi and it makes zero sense to go with something else (assuming the configuration works; i.e., scope capable, LoP, safety preference, etc.)
