Rossi R92 lever rifle in 357 Mag with 38 Special ammo?

I don't have a Rossi, but my Browning B92 loves FP RN .38 Specials without a burp.
The Browning B92 I had jammed up something fierce on .38 Specials if you didn't give the lever a full throw. Worked flawlessly with .357 Mags, though.

NAA.

Maybe not helpful for you but I have a Henry and when it arrived I just decided to only shoot 357 and avoid any issues. I reload and could seat the bullets further out in 38 like the manual says but couldn't come up with a reason not to just use 357.
Factory 38 goes in my pistols.
Never an issue

My Rossi 92, circa 2005 or so, cycles 38s pretty much flawlessly until the Red Dot soot gets built up. Quick spray with G96 and wipe down gets it feeding flawless again. I suspect I have somewhere between 3500-4000k rounds thru mine. It cycles well enough that I never thought it might have been an issue.
YMMV
