I couldn't find any discussions on the Rossi Ranch Hand, so putting this up. I have acquired 2 (.44 REM MAG & .45 COLT) for training in the classroom; FSESO Ontario. I just want to get as much info on them as possible, so I am ready for anything; repairs, bad behaviour when handlign, etc... I do have a full-length stock on one already, and looking for another one. I have also located SNAP SHOTS GUNS in Quebec for Rossi Parts & Service! So getting there. Wouldn't mind getting a 3rd as a backup gun, in case of a failure. Maybe in .38/357 MAG. So, a few questions to get it going:

- Do they have any weaknesses as far as functionality? Any parts prone to break or jam?
- Any cycling problems? ( I have cycled many Dummy cartridges to do preliminary testing; OK!)
- Easy to get a full-length stock? (Prefer used as students will abuse!) WGP has a new one for $150+.

Appreciate any feedback, comments, and suggestions. Thank you!

PS. Besides 30-30 Ammo needing fixed or replaced all the time, I had a student FORCE a 30-30 cartridge through the loading gate while action open last weekend! Jammed solid and almost didn't get out!!! Had to hammer all the way in, press up into tube with thin screwdriver, lower feed-ramp, and get it to pop up as if feeding normal. I first tried to let fall out magazine tube, but wouldn't fit as RIM damaged being forced passed jammed loading gate!!! Hoping smaller pistol cartridges easier to manage!

Appreciate the pointer! I finally got a full-length stock in from WGP and it's a bit tight. I would have thought would slip on, maybe with a little tapping, but it gets real tight about 3/4's of the way on. Nice finish and all, but will have some time next week to hopefully look closely and see what it needs to slide on! Any tips besides rough sandpaper and a little scraping? Then I'll try the both of them out at the range before disabling for the classroom!

Thank you.
