Alright guys, I need some help!

I just picked up a ranch hand in .44 mag. The first thing I was looking to do was swap out the sites. After some research (apparently not enough) I decided to go with the marbles bullseye rear and marbles .530 height front. Here we encounter the problem.... The marbles site base is to small on both the front and rear sites and slides right through the dove tail groove on the barrel......

Is there anything I can do to fit these sites or am I going to have to look at other site options?

Any direction in this matter will be appreciated.......this is my first time trying to fit dovetail sites

HELP!

The dovetail on the rifle might be metric instead of imperial. American sights are usually 3/8" dovetail. Are they loose in that they move from front to back in the dovetail or just slide easily? Sometimes if just not tight in the groove if you take a center punch and make a few dimples in the bottom of the dovetail you raise enough metal to make them tight enough.

Would it be at all possible to "Devcon" bed them into place. When it dries it is super dark in color and would be strong. I couldn't think of another way to add structural material other than an epoxy.

Sounds like you ordered the wrong type... How loose?
Shims under the sight would be the best temp fix till you find the right size.

Try cutting and stacking some pop or beer aluminium shims and see if that gets you there?

Dovetail sights should go out left to right and in right to left looking down on the barrel from the rear.
