Rossi Ranch Hands - why the huge price bracket?

My 45 Ranch hand purchased from Epps last year also came with the taller front sight. I installed one of Steves safety peep sights and rifle shoots to point of aim with standard pressure loads. Nice easy install that didn't require any drifting of the sights unlike on my other Skinner rear ghost ring sighted Rossi's.
Would love to hear more about the magnetic butt extension idea. Not looking to put a full buttstock on mine as I have three others in the normal configuration.
