Rossi Wizard - is it coming or not?

How could this be restricted? It's a full length rifle!

Just called Freedom Ventures. Apparently they did bring them in in .308, and they never sold well, so they won't bring in any more. And there will be no accessory barrels. So, if you want an interchangeable rifle barrel system, you still gotta buy Thompson Centre, or learn how to do the Handi-Rifles yourself (while buying the Handi Rifles as a while, not as a barrel).

This is stupid.

Also why no extra barrels?

I don't understand why a single shot hunting rifle has so much difficulty being imported into Canada...stupid indeed.
 
I want one, it would make a good gun for the truck, and back pack, and for moose hunting (never have a 12ga or 22rf when I could use one)

Look up the Circuit Judge. It's restricted because the frame is a handgun frame.

There was a Single shot pistol gripped shotgun that they did the same thing to, and reversed the status on the FRT.

FWIW, as far as I understand, this was a rifle from the start.

Nonetheless, there will be no more of them in Canada, from what I was told over the phone today. I don't get it, really - I never saw an ad for any of these, and I'm sure that properly hyped, they would have sold them like hotcakes to all the H&R owners who are disgruntled they can't take advantage of the accessory barrel program.
